YummyArts

Our YummyArts coaches are professional cake decorators. Of course, at one time, they were all just starting out, either in decorating altogether or in decorating as a business, and know what it takes to learn, grow, improve, and go pro.

One of our coaches has been decorating since childhood, learning the skills passed down from one generation to the next, while another of our coaches stumbled upon a love of decorating accidentally when she accepted a new job!

Meet Our YummyArts Coaches!

Frustrated, as I couldn't get my icing flat and neat for my son's 2nd birthday, I quickly jumped on Wilton cake decorating courses. From that moment on it became a dream to continue with learning about cake decorating. After joining YummyArts, I never looked back! it was so fun and I learned an incredible amount from the forum as well as all the videos. Putting it into practice for 17 years, I created a business and continue to have fun while creating cake!

Hi! My name is LynnAnn and I am the owner of Sweet Indulgences by LynnAnn. I began decorating cakes over 20 years ago, starting with the basic Wilton classes.  In the beginning, I just made cakes for family; trying out new ideas that I could find in books. Back then that's all that was available. Slowly but surely people started asking to buy my cakes and other baked goods and my business was born.
I found YummyArts several years ago now. The things I have learned from their videos is priceless. Being able to watch at my convenience and learning at my own pace is a great way to learn different techniques. I am so excited to be a part of this new venture!

Having three grown sons and now a new grandson, I have had the opportunity to make many, many cakes over the years. Always looking to learn and grow in the cake decorating field, I joined YummyArts the day it opened many years ago, the best decision I ever made as far as furthering my cake decorating education!

I hope you enjoy every minute of this course and I will be on hand to help if you have any questions. Have fun!!!!

I have been decorating cakes for over 10 years. I have been a YA member since 2009 and I originally took all 4 classes of the old Wilton decorating years ago and fell in love with the skill. I have taught classes at our church for 3 summers in an outreach program. My Facebook page is Creme de la Cake Art. I own Creme de la Cake Art and Teresa's Treats and am hoping one day to have those websites up and running. My husband does photography so we're planning to mesh the 2 together. I have 4 grown adult sons, 3 daughters-in-law, and 3 grandchildren.

I've been baking since I was three years old, learning the basics from some of the best ... My mom and all my Aunts! I took those apron lessons and my love of baking further after my daughter was born and I started decorating and had years of fun doing this while my son and daughter were growing up. When my daughter asked me to do her wedding cakes, I chewed through the Wilton courses like a woman possessed! I was hooked! I joined YA soon after that, and now I also take classes from wherever and whoever I can. Because I am a military spouse, my caking kitchen is in our house in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and we currently live in teeny weeny Cold Lake, Alberta, I am not selling cakes very often right now, iInstead I teach as often as I can. I also rent cake risers, displays for cupcakes, cookies and cake pops, and design custom display settings.

I started my cake decorating career when I was actually working as a card making instructor at Michaels. The Wilton teacher at that store was moving and they could not find a replacement. Having never decorated before, I took the bold step and decided that, with training, I could do it. So I took the classes in March, April, and May and started teaching the very next month in June, 2006, and the rest is history! Since that time I have taught over 2,000 students and have become an award-winning cake decorator and teacher. I joined YummyArts in 2008, and love the weekly ideas and projects they publish. I compete yearly in cake decorating shows, especially the River City confectioners Association sugar art and cake show in Omaha, Nebraska, where I've won numerous trophies including several best of Show awards and People's Choice Awards. I am currently the president of my local cake Club. One of the highlights of my cake decorating career was winning the drawing to travel to Las Vegas to help Tami Utley decorate a groom's cake for a YummyArts wedding!
